The Circular Economy and the Built Environment - No Waste Left Behind

August Nazareth

Circular Economy Consultant

CE360 Founding Member responsible for alliance marketing, communications and business development.    Circular Economy Professional focused on inverventions in the built environment, food and beverage, and industry 4.0

With a career spanning consultative technology sales, business development, marketing and branding, project management as well as entreprenuership and the circular economy, August also understands the social mechanics of working in Africa, the USA and UK.   Sector experience includes the AEC and the built environment, IT, digital technologies, FMCG, machinery design, engineering and manfacturing.  For the past 10 years, August has aligned her work with the new trends in latest technologies for marketing automation, all things digital, and in the past 5 years, specifically for the the built environment.

This sector is poised for acceleration to digital technologies such as the Internet of things (IoT), Building Information Modelling (BIM), digital twins, and a host of other technology and process such as DfMA, offsite construction and modularity. At this intersection lies the circular economy’s principles and enablers that work so well with the new technologies making business as usual in a take-make-dispose linear process nearly obsolete in a world with finite resources. Buildings as a service, the sharing economy, performance business models, etc. changes how the built environment is “consumed”. With long experience working for small and medium sized businesses, and as the founder of Rockingham Coffee Lounges, a franchise bridging business to business and business to consumer, August knows the challenges and rewards of working with value and supply chains that need to bootstrap and walk before running. Consulting with August begins with understanding where a business is today, where the interventions points are and ensuring quick wins towards a new co-created end goal. And making the transition inbetween as easy on teams as possible.
